At North Star Shelties & Co. our breeding program is dedicated to producing Shelties of the highest quality—dogs that shine both in the show ring and as cherished family companions. Every litter is carefully planned with a focus on health, temperament, structure, and adherence to the official breed standards of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and the American Kennel Club (AKC).
Our puppies are raised in our home with love, empathy, and comprehensive care. They are well-socialized, exposed to everyday household life, and prepared to thrive in their new families.
Each puppy is:
• CKC-registered (with AKC foreign registration available if needed)
• Vet-checked and up to date on vaccinations and deworming
• Microchipped for permanent identification
• Accompanied by a health guarantee and a detailed puppy starter package

Every North Star Sheltie puppy is placed under a written contract to ensure the best care, health, and responsible placement. Together, we’ll help you choose the puppy that’s the perfect fit for your family, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan the exciting journey of bringing your new puppy home.
Our contracts are designed to comply with AKC and CKC standards and relevant laws, giving both the breeder and the new family peace of mind.The contract outlines the responsibilities of both the breeder and the new owner, covering aspects such as health guarantees, spay/neuter requirements (if applicable), and the ethical care of the puppy throughout its life.

We accept deposits at any time to join our waiting list for a North Star Sheltie puppy.
Because we breed on a limited basis and with great care, most of our puppies are reserved before birth by families already on our list. If you would like to secure a place, please contact us—we are happy to arrange live video, chats, visits to our kennel and provide references from families who have welcomed one of our Shelties into their homes.
As responsible breeders, we always breed for our program first. This means we reserve the right to keep or hold back any puppy that best contributes to the future of our kennel.
Puppy prices range from $2,500 - $4,500 and include a deposit of $600. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a future litter if necessary.
